Two things, and you keep both: a summary written in plain English, and the official certificate the register issues, attached as a PDF.

Reading the summary
The line that matters is at the top. Money owing tells you whether a financier has registered a security interest against the vehicle. If it says a registration was found, the certificate sets out who registered it and how to contact them.
A result of no record against stolen and written-off means NEVDIS held nothing for that vehicle at the time of the search.
Why we don't show you a real certificate here
The PPSR certificate carries the Commonwealth Coat of Arms, the AFSA wordmark and the PPSR logo. Reproducing it on a commercial website is not permitted, so what you see above is our own illustration, built with made-up data. The certificate you receive is the genuine article, unaltered.

We source information from the PPSR to provide reports to you. The search certificate attached to your report is the certificate issued by the Register, in the format it is issued — we do not alter it. The plain-English summary alongside it is ours.
* Delivery time. Reports are issued within minutes while the Personal Property Securities Register is available. The register has scheduled maintenance windows, set out in our Terms & Conditions. A search requested during a maintenance window is issued as soon as the register reopens.
† Free re-check. The 14-day free re-check applies only to vehicles that returned a registered security interest (finance owing). It re-checks whether those security interest details have changed. Stolen and written-off records are not re-checked.
